The materials are glass and gold-plated metal. I actually tried a few other designs before I settled on this one... Everything else I tried looked too busy. I do have a habit of overcomplicating things, I realize, so this time I stopped fiddling with it and decided that simplicity was best. I'm pretty happy with the result.
