Haberdashery Blog Hop

I'm currently working on another monthly-challenge-check-in-post, but am stuck waiting for a bit of sunshine so I can take good pictures.

So! In the meantime I thought I'd mention the most recent Blog Hop I joined, hosted by the lovely lady over at BeadRecipes.

Now what, you might ask, is haberdashery--and why is there a jewelry blog hop dedicated to it?

According to ye olde Wikipedia, a haberdasher is a person or shop who sells small articles for sewing, such as buttons, ribbons, zippers, thread, or needles. Haberdashery, therefore, refers to those small sewing articles... Small articles that could also potentially be used for making jewelry.

This picture is not mine!
It's posted courtesy of Melissa Trudinger of BeadRecipes...
What a beautiful assortment of inspiration!!

And that is what this blog hop is all about! Stepping out of the ordinary and challenging ourselves to work with different materials--whether it be vintage lace, unique buttons, yarn/ribbon, or embroidery floss.

Woo-hoo! So exciting!

The reveal date is Saturday, August 2nd... Come back then to see what I've made! :)
