Create Everyday Challenge: Day 11

Here we are! Day 11.

Here is what I pulled out of the bag:

Aren't those adorable? I'm pretty sure they are Czech glass. I got them from one of the subscription boxes I get every month--Sam's Bead Box, to be precise. I'm pretty sure that was the March Box of this year. They're pretty unique, so I thought I'd share where I got them!

As cute as they are, I had a hard time deciding what to make with them. At first, I wanted to make earrings with cluster dangles, but it didn't look right. Then I wanted to make a hair stick, but I wasn't sure if you'd actually be able to see the cute little birds when the stick was being worn.

In the end, I settled on this design... and I'm pretty happy with it:

I decided to use the little red teardrops because they pick out the reddish/purple tint on the bird beads. You can see it just faintly on the edges in the above picture. If I had more of the bird beads, I'd also want to make some with either purple or  black teardrops. Maybe I'll have to go rooting around to see if I can find anymore.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Come back tomorrow for Day 12!
