So, why not have a challenge reveal? :)
As a reminder, for this month I decided to make jewelry based on this picture:
...And here is what I came up with!
I am ridiculously proud of this necklace. To make it, I used some of the skills I learned during last month's earring challenge... The seed beads leaves are of my own design--I altered the feathers that I learned to make last month. I'm thrilled that their shape is so close to the leaf shape in the picture!
I also incorporated a variation on shaggy loop chainmaille, adding an extra pop of white throughout the necklace itself.
...I suppose I can no longer say that I don't do seed beads. Not only did I custom make those leaves, I also taught myself how to do Russian leaves--although I didn't have time to make anything with them.

Hello, everyone!
I have not forgotten this month's challenge. I know that the reveal was supposed to be this past Friday... however, I happened to be traveling home on Friday and didn't get a chance to post. (And by "traveling home," I mean that I was in a car for over 8 hours traveling 500+ miles from my parents house in Maryland to our house here in Ohio. Not too shabby!)
...Also, I'm only about 50% done my project. This month has really gotten away from me!

This time last week, I was getting over an extremely nasty stomach bug. Not only that, but I was starting to rush around, preparing my display for the local Craft Market I signed up to do with two of my sisters-in-law.
All in all, it didn't turn out too badly:
...And that was even with half of my displays getting stolen from my porch when I ordered them. Oi!
This week, my craft table is full of last minute Christmas gifts--so no pictures, sadly. Want things to be a surprise. :)

Hello, everyone!
This year has completely flown by... here it is, December. Imagine! Now, my goal is to keep this month's Wonder and Whimsy challenge rather simple... this is always a super busy month for me, and I don't want to overdo it. (Especially since I definitely overdid it last month, hah!)
So! For this month's challenge, I want to make jewelry inspired by this picture I took last month of our first seasonal snow:
I love the juxtaposition of the white snow against the bright red leaves... and, of course, there is the added bonus that this is a fitting color palette for Christmas. :)

Phew! November was quite the month!
Now, I know that I posted the earring pairs throughout the month, but I thought it would be fun to show them all in one place, too. After all, there are quite a lot of them--and it's fun to see them as a collection.

That last pair was made yesterday, on Day 30... I thought they would be a nice way to showcase some of the different techniques I worked on for this challenge (chainmaille flowers, seed bead fringe, handmade earwires).
I am really glad that I did this challenge... it's always fun to stretch my creative muscles. That being said, I'm really glad that November is over. Hah! Time to start thinking about Christmas presents. :)
