Here it is, my first post of 2018!
....and, honestly, I'm exhausted.
Now, I realize that my first post of the year tends to be where I reminisce about the last 365 days, and think grand things of the year to come. This year, though, I'm a bit lacking in grandiose sentiments.
So, instead, I think I'll just show you the last necklace I made in 2017. I made it on my birthday, actually, as I was home sick and cuddled on the couch with my husband. And, you know, there are so many worse ways to spend my time than cozy and cuddled and playing with beads.
The focal bead is lampwork glass by Carol Christensen-Day, and I paired it with citrine, hessonite garnet, amethyst, blue goldstone, and brass. Oh, and two iridescent glass beads in the main necklace chain.
2017 was quite the adventure, and I honestly expect 2018 to be no different. And I'm so, so grateful to spend it here with you, my lovely and wonderful readers.
So, here's to 2018! May it be full of beauty and creativity, and overflowing amounts of joy!
Beautiful necklace! Welcome to 2018 and I hope you're feeling better soon.
