This morning, as I was on the way out the door to meet a friend for coffee, I was inspired to make these earrings:
What can I say--they seemed whimsically appropriate. :)
Oh, and another fun fact--the coffee cups on the charms actually spin! They were part of this month's Bargain Bead Box, and I think they're just delightful.
It's supposed to snow here tonight, so I'm debating another warm beverage for the evening. Who know... I might even make more coffee-inspired earrings.
Thanks so much for stopping by today... Have a wonderful day, everyone! Stay warm! :)

Day 10: Purple Tassels
I had a bit more time to devote to crafty things today, so I decided to make some tassel earrings.
And I decided to make them purple, because why not?
Here's the result to my efforts:
I am very happy with how they turned out. I mean, purple is my favorite color; I always enjoy playing with it... and, well, you know me and tassels. :)
Thanks for stopping by today... Happy Sunday, everyone!

Day 9: Black and Silver
Today is gearing up to be quite the busy day, so I decided not to tackle anything that would involve lots of experimenting. Instead, I stuck with something fairly simple... but still quite lovely:
These are made with Czech glass and silvertone metal. I originally made these to sell, but am honestly debating making a pair for myself. I'm a sucker for the combination of silver and black. :)

Day 8: Fun with Yarn
Alternate Title:
Earrings I had planned to make for my Picasso challenge last month, but didn't get a chance to.
These earrings are made with wood, silverstone metal, and trellis yarn that I cut into segments and made into tassels.
I actually found the yarn at Scrap It Up last month and immediately thought of the Picasso challenge that I was working on at the time. Strong black lines and cubes of various of brown? That absolutely fit the Picasso painting I was using as inspiration. I picked the accompanying wood beads because of their interesting geometric shapes--fitting, again, based on the inspiration painting.
It was fun finally getting a chance to make these, even though I didn't finish them in time for last month's reveal. My worktable table is full of unfinished projects like that, and it's always happy when I'm able to do justice to my previous ideas. :)
Thanks for stopping by today! I have successfully completed a full week of earrings, and I'm still going strong. :)
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Day 7: Wintry Briolettes
Today's earrings were inspired by today's weather:
...Namely, the snow.
Well, technically it's only a wintry mix--but, either way, I figured these faceted glass briolettes fit the bill. I've been playing around with different messy-wrapping techniques, so I decided to go ahead and do one for these. :)
Thanks fo stopping by to see today's earrings... Hope you all have a wonderful day! And, if it's snowing where you are, stay safe! :)

Day 6: Glass Discs
Today's earrings were actually inspired by my husband, who suggested that I make something purple today.
Given that prompt, here is what I came up with:
The discs and the round beads are all glass--commercial lampwork, I believe. I've had them for awhile, and was happy for an excuse to finally make something with them. :)

Day 5: Clusters of Color
Today's earrings were brought to you by my continued enjoyment of making dangly things:
The large beads are vintage acrylic, and therefore fairly lightweight. The other beads are glass discs. Overall, they had a nice weight, and nice sway, and I enjoy them a great deal. After all, as I said--I like dangly things. :)

Day 4: Fabric Beads
My first attempt at earrings today did not go so well. I was attempting to patina some metal pieces, and it just didn't work out the way that I wanted it to go.
So! Here is attempt #2, this time with fabric beads I made for September's Monthly Challenge:
Nothing too revolutionary, I realize, but I'm grateful that at least I have something to show for today. And playing with fabric beads is always fun. :)
Thanks for stopping by today... May you have a wonderful day, everyone!
