Snowy Photoshoot, Part 2

See yesterday's entry for the Snowy Photoshoot, Part 1.
---

I am very happy to report that I've been making some good progress towards some of this month's earlier projects. Hurray! Not only that, but for fun I decided to take pictures of them with the Cincinnati snow as a backdrop. After all, why not? Snow can be pretty, too. :)

So, first up: the pink tassel necklace that I started two weeks ago, for the first Wednesday's Worktable of the year.

While I'm still not done, I have finally finished the tassel part:

Ta-da!!

Now I just have to make the rest of the necklace to go with it. Heh.

And now to share what the tassel looks like, against my wintry-white backyard:

As with all the tassels that I make, I just love the way that it drapes--and I love the way the pink looks against the snow. :)

Next up, the paper bead necklace that I started last week.

I am very happy to report that I finished this project. In fact, I ended up making both the paper bead necklace and a pair of matching earrings. Here is the finished picture compilation that I shared on Instagram:

And now, here are the snow pictures!

Feel free to click on them to make them bigger... And, while some of them have a wonky color-balance, I really like way that the light shines off of the beads. And the way the paper beads look against the snow. And, well, this is just a hard necklace to picture, and these shots just make me happy.

I liked the off-center focus of this one.

Of course, I realize that these aren't exactly professional photos--the aforementioned wonky color balance, for instance--but I really enjoyed taking them. Experimenting with new backgrounds is always fun... And it's also fun to have such pretty things to work with!

So, there you go! Thank you for joining me for this update/excuse to show lots of pictures... I always appreciate it when you stop by.

Have a great day, everyone!
